    Old Iberian Peninsula Map - Spain and Portugal - Kirkwood 1817 - This is an exquisite full-color Reproduction printed on high-quality gloss paper, art paper or canvas.

    The following towns are featured: published in Glasgow, Scotland by Robert Kirkwood and John Smith & Son. It is a rare atlas map that was also published by Wm. Faden. Kirkwood engraved some of the maps for Thompson's General Atlas, but no recordof this atlas is in Phillips, Tooley, Jolly or anwhere else, except for a record of a sale int he Map Collector. He also used A. Arrowsmith's maps from Pinkerton's Geography as a base., enlarged, and filled in detail where he could. The result is a map almost twice the size of Arrowsmith and considered more detailed.
