    Sites and Townships Specific To This Map Are: Monroe and Opelousas.

    The following towns are featured: a survey plat of Northern Louisiana, from the Mississippi to the Sabine Rivers. Notations state that the full colored denote lands which have been offered. The townships with coloured margins are those which have not been offered but of which the surveys have beeen returned, and the dotted lines shaded yellow are the division lines of parishes from Tanner's map. Present locations of land offices are marked with a symbol. Dotted red lines show the Eastern boundaries of Natchitoches and Claiborn established by laws of 1827 and 1828. It should be noted that those parish boundaries were altered over the years.
