    Old Scandanavia Map - Helsingborg, Sweden, Siege Panoramic 1675 - This is an exquisite full-color Reproduction printed on high-quality gloss paper, art paper or canvas.

    The following towns are featured: it is believed that the famous engraver Romeyn de Hooghe, who specialised in the production of news prints, created this panoramic. However, it is not known for sure. Depicted is the Danish siege of the Swedish town H?lsingborg during the Swedish-Danish war in 1675. Following the Dano-Swedish War and the Treaty of Roskilde, Denmark had to give up all territory on the southern Scandinavian peninsula, and Helsingborg became a Swedish city. King Charles X Gustav of Sweden landed here on the 5th of March 1658 to take possession of the Scanian lands and was met by a delegation led by the bishop of the Diocese of Lund, Peder Winstrup.
