    The following towns are featured: an image of the Manassas Gap Railroad and its extensions from 1855. This map of northern Virginia shows rivers, cities, counties, roads, and railroad system with distances. The line was chartered March 11, 1850 and started operations in 1854 from Manassas Junction to Strasburg. Va. It was combined June 1, 1867, with the Orange and Alexandria, forming the Orange, Alexandria, and Manassas Railroad.
